Lance and Danielle's Wedding Day

Noelle, Danielle, and I spent 24 hours
getting everything ready for the wedding.
Here is the beautiful result:

Danielle is ready to take the plunge!

Here Bishop Hillesheim is talking to the happy couple
to make sure they are ready!

 They are ready...
and make serious covenants with each other!

 Husband and wife!

Walking down Fisherman's Wharf

After the wedding, we made a trek down Fisherman's wharf
to continue the celebration.

The bride was escorted by a slew of handsome soldiers!

Quite a large group gathered to celebrate their marriage.

They made quite a spectacle and
garnered many well-wishes from passersby.

Celebration!

We all met at the Red Snapper on
Fisherman's Wharf for a wedding celebration.

The Tres Leches cake was delicious.
(I ordered it from a Mexican bakery in Gilroy.)

We had a great view of the wharf from the restaurant.
We had a banquet room all to ourselves.

Notice the details!
We even found time for Danielle to have her first pedi-mani!
Her nails looked so cute!
Noelle lent her the pearl necklace.
The flowers were from a shop in Gilroy as well.

Rainy Days!

It rained hard the day before,
so we were all praying the rain would stop!
It held off for the wedding and trek down the wharf,
and only sprinkled a bit at the end.
Yeah for umbrellas!

Logan's Graduation Day

After 2 years of hard work, Logan graduated from the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California.

Anne was a huge support to him!

He was able to graduate from the D.L.I. in Arabic
and earn his Associates Degree as well.
Only 7 guys pulled off that feat!

Congratulations, Logan and Anne!

Lance is at the D.L.I. as well, but is learning Korean. He is on the front end of the D.L.I. experience! It has been good for Lance to have Logan there to smooth the path, answer questions, and be a buddy.

Quite a group gathered to celebrate with Logan!
We are proud of you, bud!

Grandparents and Goodies!

Today was Grandparents and Goodies at Cook Elementary school.
Matt took off work early so we could both go with Michael.
He loved the attention....and the treats!

We had fun reading a book together!

Dinosaur Park in Winter

Melia and I braved the cold weather to take Michael and Aislinn to the dinosaur park.

Of course, Michael had to wear his pterodactyl wings in case any dinosaurs attacked.

Unfortunately, it was hard to keep the pterodactyl from flying off!

It must have worked, because he survived many encounters with huge dinosaurs unscathed!

Aislinn was too cute and adorable
for the dinosaurs to eat!

Michael only took the wings off so he could use the "Paleontologist Notebook" Anne had made for him to sketch dinosaurs he had seen!

Here Michael is trying to think of what dinosaur he should sketch next! (Thanks Anne, for the notebook!)

Christmas 2010

We had a blast this Christmas! Everyone was there for Christmas Eve! Unfortunately, I was having too much fun to take very many photos.
Here are a few:

The young adult table included Joe, Jeff, Lance, and Danielle.

Michael was amazed to discover that his hand fit almost exactly into his mom's handprint from when she was a little girl.

We played a pass-the-present game, but when Aislinn saw the princess crown and earrings, she claimed that one for her own!

The rest of Christmas Eve night we enjoyed  the food, prezzies, and each other's company!

It was fun to have Noelle and Kao's Emma there for the family party!

Michael's 6th Birthday

Logan and Anne got in to town just in time for Michael's birthday party! Michael was thrilled with Anne's gift she made for him, which he promptly name his " Paleontologist Notebook" !

He promptly started sketching dinosaurs galore!

Then the guests arrived for his party!
Lots of kids came to help him celebrate!

Having Anne there was a highlight for Michael!

 Everyone had a blast!

 Logan read
"The Night Before a Dinosaur Christmas"
to the captive audience.

The dinosaur pinata was a big hit!

Notice the "Tar Pits" with dinosaurs in them!

Michael loved being the center of attention!
