After almost 2 years of hard work,
Lance graduated from the Defense Language Institute
in Monterey California, in Korean.

It was fun to have family there to help celebrate his accomplishment. Funny Lance story - after a year and a half of never once forgetting his beret, he forgot to bring it to the graduation, and couldn't go outside in uniform until he had it! After graduation, we all hung out on a covered porch with him while Logan and Matt made a mad dash to Lance's apartment to find the beret. ( He even missed photos with his class!) It was an awesome day - I only tell the story because it is sure to go down in family lore.
